Amy Albrecht, Juniata ’07, started Amy’s Creative Touch, LLC with a vision to provide custom gift baskets to everyone. Amy has since moved on to Seton Hall University for graduate school, but she wanted her custom gift basket business to continue to thrive, while also keeping the business local. Sharon and Lynn Conaway of Huntingdon, PA took the initiative to continue this business while also adding their own touch.
SLC Custom Gift Baskets proudly features products from Juniata alums who are local craftsmen such as, University Jerky, Thompson Candle, and the Raystown Field Station. However, that is not all that is offered in baskets. Each basket can be created by each client, with attention to detail and specifications. Baskets can include gourmet foods, specialty coffees and teas, chocolates, and a host of other goodies. SLC Custom Gift Baskets can be tailored for almost any occasion: house warming, get well, baby showers, holiday, congratulations, or to the college student. SLC Custom Gift Baskets also creates custom gift baskets for the corporate client for their special gift giving needs. They can include special promo pieces or products along with their selections. Flexibility and special attention to the customers’ needs are the key to their success.

Sharon (Mumma) Conaway, Juniata ’82, is the Biology Mobile Educator for Science in Motion at Juniata College and Lynn is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the John R. Wald Company. SLC Custom Gift Baskets provides a family-orientated approach to running their business as both children, Brittany and Brandon, plan on helping their parents in creating the unique baskets. A busy family themselves, the Conaway’s have adopted the motto “Delivering smiles in a sometimes crazy world.”
