Greener Leasing, LLC was formed in June 2009, by Doug Jackson, a Juniata College student class of 2011. The company leases Microfridges, an energy efficient refrigerator, freezer and microwave unit. The unit is sized to fit perfectly in college dormitories and its low amperage is environmentally friendly. The Microfridge at Juniata College but plans to expand to more colleges and possibly offer new items related to dormitory living.

Doug's interest to operate his own business began in entrepreneurial classes at Juniata College. With the assistance of JCEL's student seed capital program, Greener Leasing was brought to reality.

"The "greener" concept has been and will continue to integrate itself into the 21st century business industry," Jackson said. "When I started this leasing company I said, "Why not start off ahead and make it a priority in my company to demonstrate our more environmentally friendly solutions today."
