“Exciting, inspiring, and valuable are just a few words I would use to begin to describe my experience at the 2007 CEO Conference. CEO was a great way to gain positive reinforcement for my own business venture. Attending the CEO Conference allowed me to make connections and network with entrepreneurs from around the world. I was able to attend several interactive entrepreneurial sessions that gave me first hand insight into what it means to be a successful entrepreneur.”

“Last year’s CEO Conference in Chicago was an absolutely amazing experience. The value gained from the lectures, seminars, and the connections made are things that can not be measured. The atmosphere and culture is so amazing with the number of highly motivated young entrepreneurs along with the numerous successful entrepreneurs is something that is almost impossible to explain unless you’re there at the conference. The time that I’ve spent at the conference as well as participating in the different workshops and the elevator pitch competition are some of the greatest experiences of my college career.” (Re: 2006’s conference)
“The best speaker by far was Troy Dunn. His speech was extremely sincere, giving motivation to young entrepreneurs. I also enjoyed Steve Wozniak’s speech, just due to his accomplishments in co-founding Apple Computers. The most valuable presentation I attended was the one page business plan, which I feel is a necessity for all entrepreneurs. Also the elevator pitches are exciting and I feel that future conference goers should take part in. The CEO conference is by far one of the most motivating and life impressing experiences. I feel that anyone who has the entrepreneurship spirit should take part in the CEO Conference.” (Re: 2005’s conference)

“My comments on this trip would be to go because you learn a lot about generating business ideas and how to put together a business plan or plan of action to implement your venture and make it successful. It also gave us the opportunity to speak to other students who had been through the similar process of idea generation and implementation as well asgive and receivefeedback.”
Fouad Touzani (Class of ’06) – Attendant at CEO Conference in 2005
POE: Communications and Peace & Conflict Studies
“Most speakers were wonderful and it was worthwhile listening to and learning from their experiences. As an international student from Morocco, I am interested in establishing economic and commercial partnerships between Morocco and the US by benefiting from the newly ratified FTA between the two countries. The potential economic cooperation between Morocco and the US seems very progressive. Taking into consideration that Morocco was the first country to recognize the US as an independent country in 1777, the relationship between the two states was, is, and will be more developed. As a matter of fact, CEO conference was a good opportunity for me to network and learn about international trade, which I consider a first and important step towards attaining my goal.”
