Web Page Evaluation
Anyone can create a web page = Great for fast, easy
access to information
Anyone can create a web page = Bad for
the reliability of information.
If you are going to use an Internet site for your research, you must critically evaluate it. Otherwise, you will make very poor choices in trusting information and jeopardize your grade! Remember, anyone can buy the number one spot in a search engine!
Consider These Guides
- CRAAP Test From the Meriam Library, California State University, Chico

Can you trust these?
- CNN - Bush Asks to Deport Muslim Students (This "CNN" page looked so real and caused such confusion, that it was quickly removed from its original web servers. It was saved locally for instruction purposes only!)
- Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanies
- California's Velcro Crop
