Colgate 70, Juniata 47
Hamilton, N.Y. ? The Juniata College men?s basketball team started out quickly, but was eventually overrun by the home team as Juniata fell to Colgate 70-47 Saturday afternoon. Juniata drops to 1-3 with the loss, while Colgate improved to 2-2

Juniata scored the first five points of the game, with Nick Hager (Franklin/Franklin) and Chris Jasiota (Oil City/Oil City) each converting in the early minutes. Juniata would hold the lead for the first five minutes of the contest, before Colgate began to take control. With the Colgate holding a 10-9 lead at the 15:30 mark, the home team then rolled off a 14-2 run over the next seven minutes to pull out to a 24-11 lead.

Juniata would get no closer than 10 the rest of the half, and went to the locker room trailing 38-24.

Cannon finished as Juniata?s leading scorer with 12 points. Four players grabbed four rebounds for Juniata, while Kyle Opitz (Pine Richland/Gibsonia) dished out three assists.
