Elizabethtown 8, Juniata 2
Huntingdon, Pa. ? The Juniata College baseball team ran into a hot Elizabethtown College team and could not overcome its own mistakes as the Eagles dropped an 8-2 decision in Commonwealth Conference action in Huntingdon Friday afternoon. Juniata is now 11-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Elizabethtown improved to 8-4-1 on the season and 4-0 in the conference.
The visitors got to work quickly as they pounded out four hits and scored three runs in the top of the first off Eagle starter Jason Enoch (Hempfield/Landisville). Elizabethtown was aided by a pair of Juniata errors in the inning which led to an unearned run.
Juniata committed six errors in the game, which contributed to three unearned runs for Elizabethtown.

Kelley tossed a complete game allowing just two runs and seven hits to claim the win. After giving up a lead-off single in the bottom of the first, Juniata didn?t manage another base runner until the fourth, and went until the sixth inning before posting another hit.
The Blue Jays added another pair of runs in the third, and then extended the lead with a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
Juniata broke through in the bottom of the seventh, when Matt Garner (Bellwood-Antis/Bellwood) drilled a solo home run to leftfield. Juniata added an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth when Will Russell (Tyrone/Tyrone) doubled, and came around to score on an error.
Enoch was charged with the loss for Juniata as he allowed nine hits and six runs, four earned, in six innings of work. Josh Lingenfelter (Claysburg-Kimmel/Claysburg) pitched two scoreless innings of relief for Juniata.
David Saintz (Titusville) had a pair of hits to pace the eagle offense.
