Huntingdon, Pa. ? Three first-half goals proved to be more than enough as the Juniata College women?s soccer team claimed a 4-0 non-conference win over Pitt-Bradford in Huntingdon Sunday afternoon. Juniata improved to 3-7-1 with the victory while the visiting Panthers dropped to 3-6-1.

Juniata controlled play throughout the match out-shooting Pitt-Bradford 22-4. The Eagles pressured from the outset, and then broke through in the 17th minute as Heather McMinn (Indian Valley/Reedsville) drilled home a volley from 10-yards out to put Juniata in front 1-0. Juniata keeper Kerri Lawrence (Paramus Catholic/Waldwick, N.J.) was called on to make just one save for Juniata, and that came in the first half a the Eagles took control with the early lead.

Walsh then capped the scoring in the 64th minute as she took another feed from Seel and slotted it home to give Juniata the final victory margin. The goal was the team-leading seventh score of the season for Walsh, giving her one more than McLellan.

Wolters played all 90 minutes and made nine saves for Pitt-Bradford in the match.
