German Opportunities Day Focuses on Language Recruiting

(Posted November 5, 2012)

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- High school students and language teachers specializing in German will get a chance to see how Juniata College approaches language education at German Opportunities Day on the Juniata campus from 9 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Sponsored by the college's Department of World Languages, Office of Enrollment and the Language in Motion program, the day gives area students the opportunity to see how a college language program works. German teachers from each school can earn up to three Act 48 credits for attending the event with a student.

Interested students can take detailed campus tours conducted in German and participate in a variety of activities led by international students, the German Club, educators and students who have studied abroad in Germany.
