HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Bryan Aungst, a senior from Millerstown, Pa. at Juniata College studying health communication, has received the Johnson & Johnson Corporate Social Responsibility Fellowship at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, which will pay two years tuition, plus a $12,000 stipend as Aungst earns a master's degree at Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, N.J.
Aungst, the son of Christine Stroup, of Millerstown, Pa., and Gene Aungst, of East Berlin, Pa., also will work at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, in Titusville, N.J., during summer and holiday breaks. Aunsgt is a 2009 graduate of Greenwood High School and graduated from Juniata on May 18.

He also presented at Juniata's Liberal Arts Symposium in 2013.
"Juniata gave me the vocabulary and organizational support to discuss and truly understand communication," Aungst says. "Juniata does a great job of preparing students for the real world, including that students are relentlessly encouraged to pursue internships and opportunities to gain tangible, beneficial work experience. On top of that, Juniata offers a great deal of work opportunities on campus, helping to constantly shape the professional preparation of its students."
He also has served in internships related to health communications, including a summer 2011 internship at Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Newport, Pa. and a fall 2012 internship in management and development at The Village at Morrison's Cove in Martinsburg, Pa.
