Answer

I chose to further investigate lead shielding and the ideal operating settings for several of Juniata's instruments.

Why did you choose this topic?

A

My nuclear physics class launched my initial interest in nuclear engineering, the field I plan on entering once I graduate from Juniata College.

What is the ultimate purpose of your research?

A

The information that I have researched can lead the way for improved science labs at Juniata and to develop more complicated experiments with higher accuracy.

Which fields of nuclear engineering are you most interested in?

A

I anticipate on working in the nuclear energy industry, reactor safety, and analysis sectors of nuclear engineering.
