Q: Where is the Office of Student Activities (OSA)?

A: OSA is located on the second floor of Ellis Hall, to the left of Eagles Landing.

Q: Where can I find any forms I may need?

A: That is easy! All the forms are located on our web page by clicking here.

Q: What do I need to do to go on a trip?

A: To begin the process you need to fill out the online Travel Form. Log in with your username and password then complete the form.  Please make sure that you check the box that asks if you're a Registered Student Organization.

Once your information has been received and reviewed, the Director of Student Activities will be in contact with you to set up a meeting to discuss your trip in more detail. After this meeting and final approval is given, you can then contact Facilities Services to reserve a college vehicle for your trip.  The same procedures need to be followed when renting a car through Enterprise.  You must be an approved college driver to rent a vehicle through the college and/or Enterprise.

Q: What is the procedure for fundraising?

A: You will need to submit the Fund-raising/Solicitation Application. After you submit the form, our office will review the form and contact you once the fund-raiser has been approved or denied.

Q: Am I allowed to use the supplies in the Art Room in OSA?

A: Yes!  The Art Room is there for clubs, Residentional Life staff, and others to use. If you don’t think you fall into these categories just stop by our office and ask if you can use the art room.

Q: How do I start a new RSO (club)?

A: If you have 10 people or more that have expressed an interest in your club idea then fill out the New RSO Application. Once the form is reviewed by the Director of Student Activities from a liability perspective, the form is forwarded to Student Government for final approval or denial.  You will be notified by Student Government of the decision. See below for more details on starting a new RSO.

Q: What do I do if I need more money for my club?

A: If you need more money for you club complete the Petition for Funds (for RSOs) form.  The form will be reviewed by the Student Government Treasurer and notify you of when you will need to present in front of the RSO Allocations Board.

If you have any questions that you think should be included in this page, please email them to osa@juniata.edu.

Trying to Start a New RSO (Registered Student Organization)?
It’s as easy as 1,2,3!

1) Does something similar already exist?

− If YES, have you tried to talk to that current RSO (Registered Student Organization) yet to combine forces? If you haven’t talked to them yet you should try. To get a full list of existing clubs and club presidents go to the Student Activities folder on the P:drive then RSO Information, RSO Lists, then open the document titled Registered Student Organizations 2015-2016.
− If NO, Proceed to Step 2.

2) Do you have 10+ students who would be members?

− If YES, Proceed to Step 3.
− If NO, Spread the word and see if you can gain 10 potential members for your new RSO.

3) Now you can fill out the New RSO Application Form!

− The forms can be found on the Student Activities website at www.juniata.edu/services/osa. Then, click on the Forms link under the Information section and submit your forms online.

If you follow these directions, you should soon be able to start planning your club meetings, events, and more for your new RSO!
