Appeals

All disciplinary actions may be appealed to the Dean of Students. Appeals should be made in writing and must be submitted within 48 hours of the decision.

The actions resulting from Judicial Board hearings may be appealed to the President. Appeals should be made in writing and must be submitted within 48 hours of the Judicial Board’s decision.

The appeal letter must state the grounds upon which the appeal is based and the justification for such an appeal. Grounds for appeal include:

  1. Evidence not available at the time of the decision, but now available, which would affect the decision itself.
  2. The case was initiated or conducted with improper procedure.
  3. The decision embodies an inappropriate penalty or is contrary to the weight of the evidence.
