Leave of Absence
Students who want to pursue a program of study at another institution, engage in other off-campus educational experiences, or plan a personal program of development without severing their connection with Juniata may request a leave of absence. A leave of absence is granted by the Office of the Dean of Students in consultation with the Registrar only to those in good academic standing at the end of a semester and only for a limited time. The maximum period for a leave is one year.
A student who plans to take a leave of absence should consult the Registrar, Student Financial Planning, and Student Services staff to learn the policies which apply to leaves of absence. He or she is reminded of the transfer policy.
