To Determine GPA

Refer to college catalog (see Grades under Academic Records) for grade equivalents.

Ex: A = 4.00
  A- = 3.67
  B+ = 3.33
  B = 3.00

Multiply calculated credits by numerical equivalent of grade.

Ex: 2 cr. x 3.00 (B) = 6.00 q.p. (Quality Points)
  3 cr. x 3.67 (A-) = 11.01 q.p.

Do this for each course. This is the most accurate procedure. Although it's easier to add all the calculated credits, all the grade equivalents and go from there, it's not as accurate.

Add calculated credits. Add quality points.

Ex: 2 (credits)   6.00 (quality points)
  + 3     +11.01

  5     17.01

Divide quality points by calculated credits.

Ex: 17.01 divided by 5 = 3.402

NOTE: Do not average 'S' grades or 'W' grades, but do average 'F' grades.

Ex: 1.66 cr. x 0.00 (S) = 0.00
  0.00 cr. x 0.00 (W) = 0.00
  0.00 cr. x 0.00 (F) = 0.00

Have fun!
