also needs to fufill 2 other requirements which include an evaluation of the skills (listed in
catalog) and that the first opportunity is evaluated for improvements in the second opportunity.
- When you repeat a course that you already received credit in, you must obtain the permission of
the Registrar. Credit is not granted twice for the course; however, both grades (grade point values)
are used to calculate the final grade point average. (CUM)
- Pre-Law, pre-vet, pre- anything is considered career tracks and should not be included in
the Program of Emphasis Title.
- Internship paperwork must be initiated with the Career Services then completed, signed and
delivered to the Registrar's Office. You are registered for a generic titled course with the
Department Chair's name until this paperwork is filled out. The 490 course (2-9 credits) is the time
spent on the job and the 495 course (2-6 credits) is the time spent working with the faculty.
- There is a 15-credit limit for an internship within the POE requirement.
- Waitlisting - Students are NOT automatically registered for a course if they are waitlisted. We
still need the faculty permission to register you in to the class. Waitlist at Juniata is a way
for faculty to see who is interested in the class and to make administrative decisions.
- Faculty who are signing in students into closed classes must also check if the student has the
pre-requisites. We cannot distinguish between the two and will register the student.
