Come Live With Us!
The following is a brief description of the services and facilities available to students on campus:

Telephone and Voicemail Information
Your room is equipped with a ROLMPHONE. You will be assigned a phone number which you can give to your family and friends. When you arrive, the residential staff will help you customize the phone mail message to meet your needs. Once you are set up, you can access your messages from any phone, anywhere on campus
.
Cable
Cable hook-up is provided in your room. Each room has a built-in TV cable that will beam in 51 television channels (including MTV, ESPN, ESPN2, major networks, etc.) to your room. All you need to provide is a cable ready TV.
Computer Network
Your room has two connections to the high-speed campus network. These dedicated, always-on lines connect all of the computers on campus, and also provide high-speed access to the Internet. For more information, see the Computer and Network Services website.
Campus Dining
Meals are provided through the College dining service. All first semester residential students must select meal plan A or Plan B. With Plan B, the Declining Cash Balance (DCB) can be used in the Muddy Run Cafe, Cafe' ala Carte or Jitters. DCBs carry over from fall to spring semesters but are not carried from one academic year to the next. Moneys from the DCB account may also be used to pay for guests meals. All first semester residential students will be automatically assigned meal Plan A unless we are told otherwise. Changes can be made by calling 814-641-3323. More information is available from the Dining Services page.
Residential Hall Staff
A Resident Assistant (RA) will be living on your floor. While you may have heard rumors that RAs are baby-sitters, police or surrogate parents, RAs at Juniata are here for you! They are peer advisors that will help you meet others, answer questions, deal with concerns and work with you to plan floor/hall activities. RAs are professional staff members that manage our Residence Halls. RAs are supervised by a live-in RD. The Resident Directors (RDs) supervise the hall staff, coordinate hall programs for the halls, advise Community Boards and work with the judicial system. RDs can answer most of your questions. And, when they don't know the answers, they know where to find them.
Campus Police
Security Personnel are on the job 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The staff of five full-time officers, one full time office support officer, three part-time officers, and 8 student security assistants, are supervised by a Director of Campus Safety and Security who reports to the Dean of Students. The officers have a variety of training and experience ranging from criminal investigation procedures to self-defense techniques. They have an excellent working relationship with local and state police.
Transportation
Downtown Huntingdon has an AMTRAK station, making it easy to get where you want to go. If flying is more of your style, the college provides transportation to-and-from the State College Airport at the beginning and end of each semester. If you would like to go mid-semester, the State College Airport and the Altoona Airport are both within an hour's drive of campus.
