Juniata's Housing Options

Inside a Juniata Residence Hall Room All of the residence hall rooms at Juniata feature cable TV hook-up and access for each student to the internet. In addition, most buildings have a student lounge (some with ping-pong, pool or foosball tables), and a kitchen. All residential halls have laundry facilities. The unique features of each building, such as dimensions and type of closet, are outlined below.

Cloister

Houses 100: Cloister occupies a central location on campus, and students determine its community standards. There is a patio area on the back side of the building. This is the location of Storming of the Arch, a student tradition.

Tussey & Terrace

Houses 180: Tussey-Terrace includes outdoor grills, a kitchen, and a large patio area. TnT is home to the Residential Life Office, as well as the Global Village's Intercultural Floor.

Sunderland

Houses 134: Sunderland includes a patio a patio and a kitchen. The lounge is the only one on campus to have a functioning fireplace. The rooms can be joined to form a quad, and its lawn hosts many campus activities, such as Frisbee and Quidditch tournaments.

Sherwood

Houses 148: Sherwood includes a patio and an enclosed porch. The residence hall is close to the sports fields on Winton Hill.  A pavillion donated by the Class of 2012 sits in front of Sherwood and is available for student activities.

Houses 212: East includes an outdoor pavilion with a grill and air-conditioned suites (each contains 4 double rooms, a bathroom, and a living room); East gives students an atmosphere independent from the rest of campus.

Houses 145 (Women Only): Lesher includes 2 lounges, and sits directly across from Ellis Hall.  The residence hall is home to the Early Childhood Center.

Houses 163: South has a prime location on campus next to Lesher and Knox Field. South is home to mostly upperclass students. The Juniata College Football team offices are located here.
