Juniata Laboratory Safety Training Program

 

Juniata Laboratory Safety Training is provided by Roy Nagle, Director of Environmental Health and Safety and an Instructor in Environmental Science and Studies.  Training is provided to individuals involved in the laboratory use of hazardous chemicals. 

The training program includes the following topics:

    1. Juniata's Chemical Hygiene Plan
    2. Material Safety Data Sheets
    3. General hazards of chemicals in the work area
    4. Measures laboratory workers can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards
    5. Hazardous waste management
    6. Emergency procedures
