Campus Safety Programs
Adopt an officer
Each residence hall is assigned an officer from The Office of Public Safety. The residents within that residence hall adopt this Officer. The officer will develop a close working relationship with the entire residence hall staff and a special relationship with the residents. Officers will provided programs once a semester based on the needs of the Hall.
Escort Service
The Office of Public Safety officers will provide an escort to anyone requesting the service. The Office of Public Safety may be contacted by dialing 911-1 twenty-four hours a day.
Identification Engraving
The Office of Public Safety will provide you with the use of an engraver free of charge. Engraving owner-recognized numbers on computers, bicycles, and other valuable items.
Rape awareness - Education and Prevention
The Office of Public Safety in conjunction with local law enforcement and other agencies will provide programs on rape awareness, education, and prevention in residence halls. The Health and Wellness Center also provides program yearly in regard to these programs.
Drug and Alcohol Awareness
The Office of Public Safety in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, such as the Drug Task Force will provide awareness programs. The Health and Wellness Center also provided programs yearly in regard to drugs and alcohol awareness.
Fire Safety Awareness
The Office of Public Safety will provide fire safety programs. Fire Drills are conducted jointly with the Resident Hall Staff on a monthly bases.
