Vertebrate Zoology
Dr. Chuck Yohn
(4 credits, N, CW)

Focuses on the vertebrate animals of the Eastern United States. Collection, taxonomic identification and natural history are emphasized.

 
General Ecology
Dr. Lane Loya
(4 credits, N)
Basic principles of the relationship between organisms and the biotic and abiotic aspects of their environment; population and community dynamics. Field trips to aquatic and terrestrial habitats.
 
Biostatistics
Dr. Vince Buonaccorsi
(4 credits, N, QS)

This course deals centrally with quantitative and statistical methodology in the biological sciences. It includes experimental design and the conventions of generating, analyzing, interpreting and presenting biological data.

 
Animal Behavior
Dr. Sue Morra
(4 credits)
A comprehensive, integrated comparison of the behavior patterns of animals utilizing findings from many other disciplines such as evolution, genetics, and neuroendocrinology. Methodology in collection of data and techniques of analysis and reporting.
