The
field station is managed by full time co-directors Chuck
Yohn and Sharon Yohn. Students are hired regularly to assist with all
facets of station programming. Opportunities for employment
include environmental education and outreach staff, maintenance
assistants, water laboratory technicians, and office help.
A wide variety of projects maintains a high level of interest.
Student staff may be involved in anything from educational
presentations on local venomous snakes to using an underwater
video camera to driving a tractor. |

The
field station also hosts interns from the Catholic University
of Lille in Lille, France and Universidad
San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. These interns are involved
primarily with outreach and environmental education programming.
In exchange, the field station also sends interns to Tiputini
field station in the Ecuadorian Amazon. |
