Summer Semester
at the Raystown Field Station
Spend June at the Raystown Field Station for the Wildlife Summer Semester! Two courses are bring offered: Mammology, and Herpetology. You can enroll in one or both of the classes. Both courses will be field based and include a field trip to the Natural History museum in New York City.

June 2-27th, 2008
 
Mammology: Examines the comparative biology of living mammals, including their taxonomy, evolution, biogeography, ecology, morphology, physiology and behavior.Co-taught by Dr. Doug Glazier and Dr. Uma Ramakrishnan. 3 credits (2 lecture + 1 lab). $480/credit.8 AM-noon, Monday through Friday.

Herpetology: Presents the biology of amphibians and reptiles from an evolutionary, anatomical and ecological perspective. Phylogenetic diversity  of  modern taxa will be presented, focusing on North American groups.Co-taught by Dr. John Matter and Roy Nagle. 3 credits (2 lecture + 1 lab). $480/credit.1-5 PM, Monday through Friday.
