In the 2007 calendar year, Juniata recycled over 93,000 pounds of material including:
- Co-mingled (plastic, aluminum, glass) - 18,119 lbs
- Cardboard - 21,579 lbs
- Paper - 12,026 lbs
- Magazines - 8,677 lbs
- Vegetable oil (converted into biodiesel) - 489 lbs
This number is significantly higher than the nearly 79,000 pounds of material recycled in 2006.
In 2007, Juniata avoided 7% of CO2 emissions by purchasing a portion of energy through wind credits.
