Publications
Dr. Kirchhof-Glazier has published scientific
poetry in Perspectives in Biology and Medicine,
wrote the end-of-chapter material and the glossary for the first edition of
Campbell's Biology text, published a curriculum for the National
Association for Mediation in Education entitled "My Place in the Living
World: Peace Studies Through Biology", and served as a contributing editor
for the Medical Professions Admission Guide, a publication of
the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions. She has a
special interest in incorporating interdisciplinary perspectives and critical
thinking into her freshman biology course and in devising techniques to enhance
student interaction and responsibility for their learning. In the latter
regard, she has published an article entitled "Grading Group Projects
Fairly: Students as Authors" in Collaborative Learning: A Sourcebook for Higher
Education, Volume II. Dr.
Kirchhof-Glazier is also interested in exploring new developments in the health
care field and wrote an article entitled “Naturopathic Medicine: An Advisor
Goes to Medical School” in the March 2003 edition of The Advisor, based
on insights gained during her sabbatical at the University of Bridgeport
College of Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture Institute in the Fall of 2002.
Other Activities
Dr. Kirchhof-Glazier is a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions and serves as the Membership Chair and Local Area Network Coordinator for the Northeast Association of Advisors for the Health Professions. She is active in the community as co-chair of her local park committee and as a founding member of the Huntingdon Health and Wellness Association for integrative medicine, for which she serves as co-editor for their news column, The Natural Connection. She is also an active member of the Bahá'í Faith, which inspired her to found the Huntingdon County Earth Day Committee in 1990 and to work with others, both on and off campus, in a variety of ways to promote unity, peace, and justice.

Off-Campus Life
Dr. Kirchhof-Glazier is married to Dr. Douglas Glazier, and they have two children, one of whom is severely multiply disabled. Experiences with their handicapped son inspired her to pursue integrative medicine. Her sabbatical semester in the fall of 2002 at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture Institute catalyzed the formation of the Huntingdon Health and Wellness Association. Her personal interests focus around family activities, gardening, hiking, and playing the 12-string guitar.
