Choral Union auditions are the first Tuesday night of the semester at 6:30 PM in Rosenberger Auditorium. Auditions take place in groups as students sing Happy Birthday.

Choral Union is the largest choral ensemble at Juniata College. With a student membership of over 90 and additional community members from the Huntingdon, Bedford, Altoona and State College areas, Choral Union meets once a week for 90 minutes to study assigned repertoire and general singing concepts. With a very basic audition to ensure pitch-matching ability, Choral Union provides a wide spectrum of educational experiences.  Membership consists of first-time singers to community members who have performed with some of the world's greatest conductors. The spirit of the ensemble is one of nurturing cooperation and mutual respect for the choral art. Past performances include the Bach and Rutter Magnificats, the Vivaldi, Rutter, and Poulenc Glorias, the Ramírez Misa Criolla and Navidad Nuestra, Ubieta’s Cuban Mass, the Mozart and Fauré Requiems, and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and Heiligmesse. Recent concerts have reflected the diverse student membership representing more than a half dozen countries.  All singers are welcome!
