Dawn Scialabba

Dawn has worked at Juniata College in various capacities since 1988, beginning as Assistant Dean of Students from 1988-1993, and then as Director of Campus Activities from 1993-2004, overseeing Residential Life, Orientation, Student Activities, and Conferences & Events during those years. In 2004, Dawn moved to a part-time position in the Unity House, providing support for the Campus Ministry and Diversity & Inclusion offices.

In June 2013, Dawn joined the Alumni Office team as Alumni Relations Assistant. She provides administrative and programmatic support for Homecoming & Family Weekend, Alumni Weekend, Senior Dinner, and other events; oversees Class Notes and other Alumni Office content in the Juniata magazine; manages the Alumni website and social media; supervises the office student assistants; serves as the Alumni House receptionist and office manager; and is the main point of contact for alumni, parents, and friends.

Born and raised in northeastern Ohio, Dawn earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and an M.S. in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University-Bloomington. Dawn and her husband, Joe ’86, reside in Huntingdon and are the parents of two children, Matt (age 20) and Lindsey (age 15). She is active as a parent volunteer with the Huntingdon band boosters and with the high school's musical productions, and as a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Huntingdon. Dawn enjoys reading, watching television and movies, attending concerts and performances, and cuddling with her family's two cats, Hickory and Ash.
