Nearly 1,600 of Juniata's alumni, families, and friends attended Homecoming and Family Weekend 2016 on September 23-25. A chilly Fall morning gave way to a picture-perfect afternoon as guests were treated to a variety of activities and events. The Quad was the hub of activity with children and others young-at-heart enjoying the inflatable games, pottery making, balloon artists and other activities. The Marketplace showcased merchandise by Juniata alumni, student clubs and local businesses. Additional highlights included reunions for the Classes of 2001, 2006, 2011, and a Zero Year Reunion for the newest alumni, the Class of 2016, with beverages provided by Heidi (Kratzer) John '97 of Rusty Rail Brewing. President Troha and members of his Senior Leadership Team shared exciting campus news during the Breakfast with the President, and many guests enjoyed the lively Beer Garden sponsored by alumni Chris Lampe '94 of Weyerbacher Brewing and Andrew Maxwell '96 of Rivertowne Brewing and music by the Poe Valley Troubadours. The College dedicated the Winton Hill Athletics Complex where men's and women's soccer teams and women's tennis competed. Academic departments also hosted a variety of activities including alumni career panels and open houses.
