3rd Annual Camp Out for Hunger
with the Delaware Valley Juniata Club
Raid your pantry or make a special trip to your grocer to collect nonperishable food items for donation to Philabundance at WMMR’s Camp Out for Hunger with Preston and Steve. Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization, serves low income residents in 9 counties in the Delaware Valley who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition, of which 23% are children and 16% are senior citizens.
In 2011, Philabundance distributed 21 million pounds of food across the region and the Delaware Valley Juniata Club donated more than 500 of those pounds! This was a great accomplishment and demonstrates the true giving spirit of Juniatians both in the Delaware Valley and on campus. In 2012, we’re hoping to beat that record and further help the hungry in our community!
