We invite alumni, parents, family and friends to join physics professor Dr. Jim Borgardt for brunch at Paula ’62 (Kolsky) and Steven Lipsius’ condo building in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Borgardt was named American Institute of Physics State Department Fellow and is spending the academic year in Washington, DC. He’s looking forward to visiting with local Juniatians and talking about his experience at the State Department. Click here to read more about Dr. Borgardt’s year at the State Department.

Directions and Travel Information

The Lionsgate Building at 7710 Woodmont Avenue, which is located on the corner of Woodmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. There are two lion sculptures at the front of the building.

Lionsgate is Metro accessible via the Bethesda Station on the Red Line, which is less than a block away.

From Virginia and points south, take 495 North to the River Road exit toward Washington, D.C. (right exit). Turn left at 188 which is Wilson Lane. Make a right on Old Georgetown Road and travel three blocks. The parking garage will be on the left.

From Silver Spring and the Baltimore area, take 495 South. Exit on Connecticut Avenue and make a right turn onto Jones Bridge Road. Jones Bridge road runs into 355, which is Wisconsin Avenue. Make a left turn and be prepared to make the first right (about a block) onto Woodmont Avenue. Drive about a mile. The parking garage will be on the right.

Parking Information

Public parking is available next to Lionsgate with entrances on Woodmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. There is no charge for parking on Sunday.
