The Berriers (Bill ’60, Marge, Jim ’60, Dorothy, Grey ’64 and Judy) played hosts on the final day of Juniata’s Florida Swing on March 8 in The Villages. Alumni, family and friends had a fantastic time because of their generosity and efforts. The outing was supposed to begin with a round of golf in the morning on one of the nine-hole executive courses in the community, but unfortunately very windy conditions forced the cancelation of golf.
Bill and Marge then hosted an afternoon reception at their home and a total of 20 were at the gathering. All enjoyed appetizers, conversation and memories of Juniata. Old blue and gold friendships were renewed, while new relationships were established.
The event concluded with dinner at The Legends (an Arnold Palmer restaurant at The Villages) where a total of 22 Juniatians gathered. The group was seated together, ordered from the menu and continued to enjoy each other’s company into the evening hours. After dinner, those in attendance were served a delicious cake decorated in blue and gold in celebration of Juniata’s annual event. In addition, Director of Planned Giving Kim Kitchen was on hand to mingle with the guests, answer questions and share news from College Hill.
Special thanks to all of the Berriers for organizing this event and bringing Juniatians together for the third consecutive year in The Villages!
