JC-DC National Philharmonic Event
Handel’s Messiah at
The Music Center at Strathmore
North Bethesda, MD
December 3, 2005
The Juniata College JC-DC Alumni Club gathered on Saturday,
December 3, 2005, for a night of entertainment at The Music Center at
Strathmore as The National Philharmonic performed Handel’s Messiah.
As an added thrill, Juniata’s own Jodi Reiter ’04 was part
of the 120-voice chorale.

With 65 alumni, friends, and family in attendance, the evening
went from breathtaking to special as many gathered for a reception in
the Comcast Lounge during intermission and after the concert.
Overall, the decades of the 1940s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s were all represented, including Betty (Hess) Seidell '49. Meredith Killian, from the Class of 2005 was the most recent Juniata graduate at the gathering.
A special thank you goes out to Jodi Reiter '04 for helping to organize the event for the JC-DC Club and to Paul '65 and Peggy '62 (Howsare) Young for serving as excellent hosts for the gathering in the Comcast Lounge.
