St. Louis Area Regional Event
The Home of Jon '69 and Molly Rayner
Juniata Women's Volleyball at Washington University (MO) Invitational
September 17, 2005
The Juniata College women's volleyball squad, the defending NCAA Division
III champion, took its show on the road to St. Louis the weekend of September
16-17 for the annual Teri Clemens Invitational at Washington University.
The Eagles went 2-1 on the weekend, including a 2-0 mark on Saturday with
wins over LaVerne and Trinity (TX).
Prior to Saturday's early afternoon matches, the Juniata volleyball team along with head coach Larry Bock attended an alumni breakfast gathering at the home of Jon '69 and Molly Rayner in Ellisville, MO, so that JC graduates could get the chance to mingle with the squad. The Rayners opened their home to a guest list of over 20.
Juniata Vice President for College Advancement and Marketing John Hille was in attendance for the day, which included the alumni, family and friends traveling in to St. Louis to watch the Eagles take care of LaVerne and Trinity by identical, 3-1, counts.
Special thanks goes to Jon and Molly Rayner, who organized and hosted the event. Additional thank you to Anne Gaynor '04, Carissa Gigliott '00 and Daniel Haeusser '01 for their help in making phone calls to local alumni to spread the word about the event.
