This summer, Juniata College hosted its first Mock Trial Camp. High school students worked with Juniata's Mock Trial Coordinator as well as current Mock Trial team members. The students learned Rules of Evidence, Courtroom demeanor, and Opening/Closing statement techniques. Throughout the camp, students worked to prepare for an end of camp trial.
Final Trial Winners:
The winning team consisted of (front row, left to right) Andrej Momiroski, Danelle Osborne, Anika Gupta, Lindsey Cook, Alysse Cooper, (back row, left to right) Francesa Satiro, Nicholas O'Neal, Rylee Wienhold, Vydalia Weatherly, and Jonathan Colombo.
The final trial was very close, only being decided through a tie-breaker. Thank you to our other team for all the hard work.
