The religious studies Program of Emphasis (POE) consists of 45 credit hours or 15 three credit courses. All students must take three introductory courses, offered at least once a year, and complete a fourcredit senior thesis under the guidance of a faculty member. Distribute the remainder of your POE between eight courses. Of these, at least four have to be at the 300 or 400 level. Include one philosophy course and two courses from history department offerings. Finally, all students must complete one year of collegelevel foreign language study in any language.
