The Biology Department at Juniata College, a highly ranked, national liberal arts college of 1,500 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, seeks to fill an assistant professor position in the area of Biology, with a focus on Neuroscience and Physiology. The Biology Department at Juniata College, a highly ranked, national liberal arts college of 1,500 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, seeks to fill an assistant professor position in the area of Biology, with a focus on Neuroscience and Physiology. Successful candidates will teach courses in Introductory Biology, an upper-level Physiology course and an upper-level Neuroscience course in their area of expertise. Candidates will be expected to develop an externally funded research program with undergraduates. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with faculty in Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, and Education on a recently approved Neuroscience Program.

Candidates with diverse scientific backgrounds that complement and enhance existing departmental strengths are particularly encouraged to apply.
An earned Ph.D. is required.

Post-doctoral and teaching experience is preferred.
