Albright 2, Juniata 0

Reading, Pa. ? One goal in each half was too much for the visiting Juniata College men?s soccer team to overcome as the Eagles suffered a 2-0 set-back in Commonwealth Conference action Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped Juniata to 3-10 on the year and 0-3 in conference action while the Lions raised their record to 6-8 and 2-2 in the Commonwealth.

The first goal came just eight minutes before halftime as Matt Yoder notched a tally off an assist from Dan Martin.

Despite out-shooting the home team 6-4 in the first half, and then an even greater 14-2 discrepancy in the second half, the Eagles were unable to best Albright keeper Joe Hartmann.

Albright added an insurance goal with two minutes remaining in the match with Justin Bardello notching an unassisted score.

Tim Penrod (Moravia/Moravia, N.Y.) had a pair of saves for Juniata in the match, while Hartmann stopped 13 saves.

Juniata continues its road trip with a non-conference match at Southern Vermont College on Tuesday.
