ASHLAND, Va. - One night after claiming their first victory in non-conference victory in convincing fashion, the Eagles had the tables turned as they suffered a 113-79 loss to Randolp-Macon Saturday afternoon. Juniata is now 1-2 and while Randolph-Macon improved to 2-1. Juniata picked up a pair of first-place finishes on the day as the Eagles swept the top three spots in both the 500 freestyle and 200 breaststroke. Kasey Brough (Carlisle/Gardners) was first in the 500 with Collin Thompson (Altoona/Altoona) placing second, and Rachel Almy (Foxcroft Academy/Charleston, Maine) was third. In the 200 breaststroke Carlie Zoubek (Paul IV/Burke, Va.) touched the wall first followed by Kelly Serfling (Urbana/Frederick, Md.) and Alison Banks (Fairfax/Fairfax, Va.). Brough would add a second-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle on the day, while Almy was third in the race. Juniata had two other runner-up finishes in the meet as Amy Sutherland (Norwich/Norwich, N.Y.) was second in the 200 freestyle and Kristen Musselman (Central Columbia/Bloomsburg) was second in the 50 freestyle. Sutherland also placed third in the 200 backstroke, while Musselman added a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle. Zoubek also contributed a third-place effort as she was third in the 200 IM. Juniata closed the meet by earning a first-place effort in the 400 freestyle relay with the team of Sutherland, Thompson, Brough and Musselman claiming the win with a time of 4:11.55. Juniata will be back in action on Friday with a conference dual meet at Albright. ###
