HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College scored once in each half on its way to a 2-0 win over Susquehanna University, in Landmark Conference women's soccer action on Wednesday in Huntingdon, Pa.

Sophomore Caitlin Bigelow (La Mesa, Calif./Academy of Our Lady of Peace) tallied what would prove to be the game winner in the sixth minute with an unassisted goal, her team-leading eighth of the season.

Freshman Aimee Radic (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon Area) doubled Juniata's lead to 2-0 in the 66th minute, scoring off an assist from Laura Goodlander (Etters, Pa./Red Land).

Juniata outshot Susquehanna 11-5, and had a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks. Eagle keeper Kristen Penska (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) logged a pair of saves on her way to the shutout victory, her second shutout of the season. Meredith Tompeck had three saves in the Crusader goal. Susquehanna (3-8-4, 1-2-1) was also called three times for offsides, while Juniata was offsides once.

Juniata improves to 8-5-1 overall, 2-3-0 in the Landmark Conference, and keeps its post-season hopes alive. The Eagles have one final Landmark game remaining on the schedule, a matchup with Goucher College on Sat., Nov. 1, in Towson, Md.
