Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: a classic Christmas film

As the first snow falls upon Juniata campus, students are beginning to prepare for the holiday season. This week, we asked Juniata students what their favorite Christmas movies were.

Ankara Shepard '17, Broad Brook, Conn.

"My favorite Christmas movie is 'The Polar Express,' because it is a family movie. I watch this movie with my siblings every year and we bond through the songs and the characters. It is also a movie about believing and I can connect that to my religion as well."

Emily Alexander '17, Harrisburg, Pa.

"'Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas' is my favorite Christmas movie, because it was one of my favorite childhood Christmas movies."

Conner McCandless '17, Harrisburg, Pa.

"'A Christmas Story' is my favorite, because it is funny and it was my grandfather's favorite Christmas movie, so to me it gives it something extra special."

Tenzing Ukyab '17, Astoria N.Y.

"'Home Alone' is my favorite Christmas movie, because it is always on every year, so I can watch it."

Jera'lyne Hyland '17, Laurel, Del.

"I like Lifetime holiday movies. I like them because they are very accessible; they are always on during this time of year and Lifetime always plays the same ones."

Emily Ritter '17, State College, Pa.

"It is a tie. I like 'Elf,' 'A Christmas Story' and the 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation,' because they are funny and I watch them every year."

Katlin Wilson '17, Ridgeley, W.Va.

"I like 'A Christmas Story,' because they have a 24-hour marathon and I can watch it very easily."

Rachel Tuner '17, Barrington, N.J.

"'A Charlie Brown Christmas,' because I really like Charlie Brown. He is cool."

Marlene Matula '17, Juniata Online Journalist
