Central Bucks West's Ward Udinski commits to playing football at Juniata College

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West), a standout at quarterback for Central Bucks West for the past two seasons under coach Brian Hensel, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at Juniata College where he will play for the Eagles and head coach Tim Launtz.
Udinski earned Honorable Mention Class 4A All-State honors from the Pennsylvania Football News this past season, and was an All-Suburban One Conference selection in both 2009 and 2010.
C.B.West's team captain during his senior campaign, Udinski was named Bucks' Offensive MVP in 2009 and 2010, and finished his career as West's all-time career passing leader with over 3,400 yards. He led Central Bucks West to the best turnaround in District One history, guiding the Bucks to a 9-3 record this past season after going 1-10 in 2009. With Udinski at the controls of the C.B. West offense, the Bucks averaged 39 points per game in 2010.
"Ward's a young man of character who is willing to accept a challenge; when you look at the integral part he played in bringing Central Bucks West back to prominence, it's evident he doesn't shy away from a challenge," said Launtz.
"We're extremely pleased Ward chose Juniata to further his academic and athletic experience. Not only is Ward a competitor, but he is an individual of integrity who serves to make those around him better," Launtz added.
Juniata football is guided by first-year head coach Tim Launtz, who recently completed his 15th season on the Juniata sidelines including his seventh season as quarterbacks coach. Launtz helped develop the premier signal callers in Juniata history: Jay Leonard (2005-08), who set the program's all-time passing record with 7,610 yards. Launtz also served as the position coach for the last two Juniata football athletes to earn outright All-America honors - Josh Seiders (2001) and Matt Eisenberg (1999).
Juniata opens its 2011 season on September 3, when the Eagles host Washington & Jefferson College at 1:00 p.m. on Knox Stadium.
