The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at Juniata College

This fall Juniata College officially became a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success. As part of the program, renowned speakers such as Kevin Barrey and Robert Stevenson will give inspirational and informative lectures via live streaming. We asked various Juniatians about the new society.
How does this new organization work and what are the requirements?
"The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is an organization that helps people discover and achieve their goals. "The NSLS has close to 300,000 members across the U.S. and 400 universities and colleges participate in the organization. Juniata is one of these schools."

"I was looking for an internship and I found the opportunity to train as an intern at the NSLS from January until September. I came back here and started the organization."
Chelsea Naglic '14, a senior and the president of NSLS at Juniata College.
"The agreement is good for one year, until August, when an advisor will need to sign a new agreement to keep the organization running. When they sign a new agreement next year, they will have the option of signing a new agreement for one year or for three years."

"The students who participate can be sophomores, juniors or seniors. They receive a letter from the NSLS based on their academic achievement. Around 641 letters this year were sent to Juniata students and their parents. "Once they have the terms, it could be very varied who accepts the invitation. We will very pleased if we have around 100 members," said Naglic. In order to be fully initiated into the organization, the students have to attend at least to three speakers events."

"The speakers are streamed live, and it is broadcast online for everyone. For the first speaker, everyone is invited. This is to encourage people to join the organization."This should be a goal for everyone, especially in Juniata. It is a kind of culture here that everyone tries to be the best they can be. Leaders help to build a better world."
