Huntingdon, PA - For the second consecutive season the Juniata College softball team earned a spot in the conference postseason and followed the season by placing two players on the Commonwealth Conference All-Conference team. Senior shortstop Becky Herr (Hamburg/Hamburg) earned first-team honors for the second time in two seasons, while junior infielder Allison D'Ambrosia (State College/Boalsburg) earned second-team recognition.

Herr leaves the Juniata program as arguably the most productive hitter in school history. Her career totals of nine home runs, 77 RBI and 78 runs scored all rank her first on the College Hill charts. She posted a career batting average of .367 which ranks her second in school history, and she is also second in career doubles. Herr capped her career by registering career highs in nearly every category. Her .442 batting average was tops on the team, and among the leaders in the conference. She also led the team with 38 hits, 12 doubles, three triples and 27 RBI. She also had a .721 slugging percentage for the season with an on-base percentage of .554. Her 27 runs batted in established a new single-season school record and she tied the existing school record with her 12 doubles. Herr ranked among the conference leaders in every offensive category and was first in the conference standing in on-base percentage. She hit safely in 22 of Juniata's 32 games, and was the only Juniata player to play at start each of the team's contest. Herr ends her career with her second first-team All-Conference recognition and was also selected as the team most valuable player.

D'Ambrosia receives her first All-Conference recognition, having served as the team's designated player for much of the year. She closed the season ranked second on the team with a .357 batting average while scoring 11 runs. She was second on the team in RBI with 18 and doubles with eight. She had at least two hits in nine of Juniata's games and posted a season-high three hits in a win over Mount Aloysius. D'Ambrosia had career highs in virtually every category, with her .357 average beating her previous best by more than 80 points. She recorded 30 hits on the year and have five games with at least two runs batted in.

With Herr and D'Ambrosia pacing the offensive assault Juniata outscored their opponents 161-76 during the season. Juniata earned its second-straight berth in the Commonwealth Conference postseason, and finished the year 20-13, which broke the previous record for wins in a season.
