Biography

Since 1969, Dr. Drews, B.A., Denison University; M.S., Ph.D., University of Delaware; has taught courses in learning and conditioning, memory, statistics, and has guided student research at Juniata. Most recently he has developed an applied psychology course related to Juniata's Peace and Conflict Studies program with a MacArthur Foundation Grant received in 1989-90. He was awarded the Beachley Distinguished Professor Award for Outstanding Teaching in 1989 and a Dana Professorship in 1998.

Professor Drews is currently serving as department chair.

Through his teaching career, he has authored and co-authored numerous papers and articles presented to such organizations as the Peace Studies Association, Eastern Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association, and is published in such journals as The Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, The Journal of Social Behavior and Personality, Teaching of Psychology, and Cross-Cultural Research.

Dr. Drews is married to Lauri Reeder and enjoys tennis, racquetball, fly-fishing, hiking, and cooking (and eating).
