Physics Secondary Emphasis

In order to claim a secondary emphasis in physics, a student must successfully take:

  • Mathematics through Calculus III
  • All of the following physics courses
    • PC 202 - Introductory Physics I (3) and PC 202L - Intro Physics Laboratory (1)
    • or PC 204 - University Physics (4)
    • PC 203 - Introductory Physics II (3)
    • PC 203L - Intro Physics Laboratory II (1)
    • PC 300 - Modern Physics Lab (3)*
    • PC 301 - Theoretical Modern Physics (3)
  • Two additional physics courses, at least one of which must be at the 300 or 400 level

*The Department may waive the Modern Physics Lab requirement if the student is taking P-Chem Lab as part of a Chemistry POE, and they are taking two or more additional physics courses at the 300 or 400 level beyond PC 301.
