Commencement is always an occasion to pause,
reflect on accomplishments and shared memories, and look forward to a future filled with possibilities and purpose. It is a time to celebrate the hard work, perseverance, and joy that have shaped the college experience for our graduates and their families.
As we congratulate the members of the Class of 2025, I can’t help but look back over the memorable moments that brought our community together. From welcoming prospective students to campus to singing carols by candlelight at Madrigal to cheering our Women’s Volleyball Team on to a “three-peat” National Championship, it has been a memorable year. We also broke ground on the Gateway Center, a cutting-edge facility that will be home to our Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, which was approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing in June.
Each season presents opportunities to reignite our love for Juniata and to embrace what we hold so dear. A hallmark of spring is always the Liberal Arts Symposium, known as Mountain Day of the Mind, a beloved tradition that showcases student research in the classroom, laboratory, studio, and field. From posters to presentations, our students demonstrate how their Juniata education has encouraged them to explore and innovate.
Our students also volunteer their time to serve others, engaging with the community to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them. This year, participation in our annual observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service doubled, with students, staff, and faculty spending the day serving the community and partneringwith local organizations. Juniata prepares students not only to adapt to change but to lead it–to be changemakers wherever life takes them.
Thank you for being a part of the Juniata community. Your support, enthusiasm, and commitment to Juniata is very much appreciated.
