Residential Hall Staff

Each residence hall and apartment area has student and professional staff members who are available to provide information, offer help and support, plan social and educational activities, and address concerns. The Community Advisor (CA) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to those in their areas. They are a resource for RAs and provide direction to their hall staff. A Resident Assistant (RA) will be living on your floor.  They are peer advisors that provide help and assistance to residents. RAs are supervised by a live-in Resident Life Coordinator (RLC). The RLC advises the hall staff, coordinates hall programs, and works with the judicial system. Staff can answer most of your questions, and when they cannot, they know where to find them.

Campus Dining

Meals are provided through Parkhurst our college dining service. All residential students are assigned to the all-inclusive meal plan. Changes can only be made though the drop/add period of each semester. Declining Cash Balance (DCB) can be added through the Bursar's Office at any time during the semester and can be used in any of the Parkhurst facilities. DCB carries over from fall to spring semesters but not from one academic year to the next. Money from DCB may be used to pay for guest meals. More information is available on the Dining Services page .

Public Safety

Security Personnel are on the job 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The officers have a variety of training and experience, ranging from criminal investigation procedures to self defense techniques. They have an excellent working relationship with local and state police.

Transportation

Downtown Huntingdon has an AMTRAK station, making it easy to get where you want to go. If you prefer flying, the college provides transportation to and from the State College Airport at the beginning and end of each semester. If you would like to go mid-semester, the State College Airport and the Altoona Airport are both within an hour's drive.
