HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Office of Diversity is offering a workshop for the college and community, "Defining Diversity" at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the Sill Board Room in the von Liebig Center for Science.

The workshop is free and open to the public.

The workshop will be led by Rosalie Rodriguez, special assistant to the President for diversity and inclusion, and will explore such topics as: Why diversity is important to Juniata College and What do we mean when we say "diversity?"

"The participants all will be asked to participate in the discussion," Rodriguez says. "We would like everyone to share a vision for a truly multicultural and pluralistc Juniata College."

The workshop will end as participants go through a mock admissions exercise where they will review and make admitting decisions for a mock incloming freshman class. In addition, participants also will examine mock faculty resumes and go through a hiring procedure for faculty.
