\'Sex Signals\' Uses Drama, Comedy to Illuminate Campua Sex Issues
(Posted September 10, 2007)
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College students and interested adults and older high school students can see such college-campus issues as dating, sex and acquaintance or date rape dramatized in an educational production, "Sex Signals,\" at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus.
The production is free and open to the public. However, the serious content of the performance is recommended only for mature audiences (juniors and seniors in high school, college students and adults). The production is sponsored by Juniata's Health and Wellness Center.
"Sex Signals\" uses improvisational comedy, audience participation and drama to illustrate how mixed messages, gender stereotypes and unrealistic expectations and fantasies contribute to misunderstandings between men and women.
The production engages the audience in candid discussions about interpersonal relationships and communicates serious messages about how human beings treat one another.
"Sex Signals\" has been performed at schools and colleges across the country.
