HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College sophomore Hilary Walsh (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) captured the lone Juniata victory as the Eagles were upended 8-1 by Drew University, in Landmark Conference women's tennis on Saturday at the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.

Walsh downed Drew's Laura Ferguson at no. 5 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 11-9.

Senior Maggie Wolenter (Audubon, N.J./Audubon) took her no. 2 singles match into a supertiebreaker, before falling 7-5, 3-6, 10-4. In doubles action, Stacie Beegle (Schellsburg, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) and Lauren Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) came the closest to posting a doubles win, falling 8-6 to Drew's Sarit Ashkenazi and Hayley Downing at no. 2 doubles.

Juniata will return to action on Monday afternoon, April 12, when it hosts Stevenson University at 3:00 p.m. on the Raffensperger Tennis Courts.
