HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Representatives from Juniata College's student government will sponsor a community-based Halloween Fest, featuring crafts and refreshments, coinciding with trick-or-treating at participating Juniata residence halls at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30 in the lobby of the von Liebig Center for Science.

The festival is free and open to the public and the community is encouraged to stop by for Halloween activities and trick-or-treating in selected dorms.

"We wanted to invite the town to the festival and encourage costumed kids to come on campus for activities and trick-or-treating," says Anshu Chawla, a senior from Fairport, N.Y. and president of Juniata's student government.

The activities available will be geared for children. Refreshments will be cider and pumpkin pie. All refreshments are free.

Halloween Fest and trick-or-treating will end at 8 p.m.
